Biofuels a problem, not a solution
I encourage you to read this very interesting article about biofuels, published in Time Magazine.
Advocates are always careful to point out that biofuels are only part of the solution to global warming, that the world also needs more energy-efficient lightbulbs and homes and factories and lifestyles. And the world does need all those things. But the world is still going to be fighting an uphill battle until it realizes that right now, biofuels aren’t part of the solution at all. They’re part of the problem.

Given MSM’s track record on anything to do with this topic of energy efficiency and climate change, we should take note of the Time article and further inform ourselves. The lefty environmentalists desire to roll back industrialization and a greater use of bio-fuels would permit industrialization to continue. So, of course, they (and their sympathizers in the MSM) disparage bio-fuels. That’s the problem when the media become advocates for one side in a debate — everything they say or write related to this topic becomes suspect.
Bio-fuels do burn cleaner and would offer consumers an alternative to oil cartel products and would create pressure for lower oil prices, which are a significant contributor to higher food prices. They would also lower the West’s dependance on fuel supplied by people who hate our guts.
